Jupiter 14 Nov

Not front page material, but here is my latest effort. I finally got an IR/UV filter and I noticed the difference straight away. Still a long way to go though.

I've processed this several times now and played with every setting I can find to pull as much out of this as I can but I think I still don't have the settings right when I am capturing.

Any suggestions welcome.

Nice shot.I think it is slightly out of focus and a little dim.Maybe increase the expsoure a little. What capture setting are you using?

I agree with Carl, also most cameras have an "auto white-balance" setting which is a great place to start from.

I left brightness alone at about half way, gamma was down low and gain was just above half. Looks washed out if I take it higher but maybe I need to go there.

Still using manual focus so this is always hard.

I'll look for this setting and try it out.

Thanks for the comments.
