Laser reflections at IISAC2011

Something a bit different, these were captured up at "Lake IISAC" on the 3rd night of IISAC2011.

There were a bunch of us spread along the western edge of the lake, with several cameras side by side taking a timelapse of Orion rising with the lovely reflection in the water.

Someone thought it might be interesting to see if the green laser reflected off the water, so Mark Suchting tried his best to keep the laser steady

The first one is reflecting off the water.
The second one is shining the laser at Orion in the sky, to see if it pointed at Orion in the water. It's not entirely captured in the frame due to the FOV, but it did

These are still images from the timelapse set.

Canon 40D + Fred's 24mm f/1.4, 29s exposure @ ISO1600.

One day I'll get around to finishing the damn timelapses.

20+ sets of time lapses is too many

That's a cool shot. This laser looks like it's powerful enough for fishing.
