Woooah, what's that dark spot? Has that been there a while?

I was helping Ben set up his 8" last night. The seeing was unexpectedly very good (the scope held up 720x!! on the Moon) and we both saw this strong dark area sitting on the band when we turned to Jupiter. This must have been what we saw.

Thanks for the images, Freddy.
