AR1330 in white light, almost hi-res….

Hello,

The seeing was quite nice but didn’t quite deliver perfect conditions, so this one is a little fuzzy around the edges. I’ve also included a colourised version based on sampling the solar disc from Spaceweather.

It was hot out there today!

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks for the comments Paul, Brian, Derek and Al.

I managed to grab 5 avi’s during the session and one of them had a larger file size, so I figured it probably contains more detail. It was the one where I paused and re-started recording several times in an attempt to capture the best seeing.

The final image was 229 frames from 2000. Using the Baader astro photography solar film helped me keep the exposure at 1/2000 sec with Gain around 300 – quite different to typical Lunar and Planetary settings!

Cheers

Excellent detail there Dennis. White light solar images can be really impressive as you've shown several times. Great work!

Thanks Rolf – it sure is rewarding when the good seeing turns on, to make up for all the ones that got away!

Cheers
