Jupiter 23rd Oct avg seeing

SPX350 F30.9, FLea3, Astrodon filters 742nm filter. 1348hrs UT.

Seeing started avg and then as mist came in viewing went terrible like a waving flag as the disc shape of Jupiter dissolved into a mess. When the seeing was avg when I started I managed a set with IR surviving well. With the JetStream breaking up I expected something better but no let up with the mediocre conditions. I am getting Depressed and may go back to deep space imaging if things don't improve!

R RGB
IR RGB
IR 742nm

A creditable result for the conditions John, it certainly has been a very frustrating Jup season thus far but I remain optimistic that it will eventually turn around.

Regards

good for the conditions John. The jetstream is breaking up at last, so it has to get better soon. Regards Ray

Thanks for the encouragement, just been fiddling with WinJupos and it does a fantastic job with RGB align better than Maxim.

First is WJ
Second is Maxim.

Images are IR RGB and improvement is impressive for avg seeing.

Not bad John, given the conditions.
