Jupiter 18th Oct in Poor Seeing

Took these on the evening of the 18th.
I reckon the seeing was 1/10. Jupiter was bouncing all over the place really.

2 methods of capture.
Image with the 2 moons Europa and Ganymede were taken with my Canon 550D in Movie mode
Image of Jupiter alone was taken with a Philips SPC900NC webcam and a 2X Barlow.

Both on a 12" Skywatcher Goto Dob

Looking forward to another go with my new 5X Powermate when the sky settles down a bit

Hey Graeme. Thanks for the comments.
Regarding the 12" dob. There was one the same as mine on the classifieds. Don't think it has sold.

A creditable job there Stu, Jupiter has been a frustrating target for much of this apparition.

Cheers

Not too bad Stu. How do you find the mount for tracking?

It tracks really well.
Even with the 5X Powermate, you can keep Jupiter around the reticle on WX Astrocapture
