Iridium 53 and circumpolar star trails

Hi all,

There was a mag -5 Iiridium flare close to the South Celestial Pole yesterday evening, so I decided to try capturing it within a series of circumpolar star trails. I've been meaning to try star trails around the SCP for a while, but thought there would be too much light polution in Brisbane. I'm surprised how well these came out considering that I took them from my back deck!

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice one Stephen! I saw an Iridium Flare last night too, while doing a timelapse from the Gosford Waterfront.

Thanks Mike. Will be interested to see how you timelapse turns out. Did you end up getting the Tokina 11-16? Would be interested in your thoughts about it if you did!

Cheers,
Stephen
