Where I'd rather be right now!

Just another day in paradise.

Me, (hard) at work, perched precariously on moss-covered rocks (trying not to fall down and break my legs) preparing my camera for another exposure at a very beautiful location.

Two beanies (plus headlamp; had been out since well before dawn), Neoprene pants, hiking boots, fleece, Goretex jacket and gloves to keep the sandflies at bay. It was cold.

It's hard to tell, but, I'm pretty much dripping wet from the enormous amounts of spray from the waterfall. The camera copped a battering, too. But, like a trooper, it kept going.

Larger version here.

Where would you rather be right now?

H

I'd rather be in my back yard imaging, than sitting inside listening to the rain on the roof.

Nice to see the master at work H.

Cheers,
Jason.

Thanks boys and girls.

Gary, yes, you're correct -- this was in Milford Sound, about an hour or so after experiencing the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen.

I was on a bit of a high at the time.

Where would I rather be at the moment.

Cruising Highway 1 on this.

Unfortunately I'm stuck at work.

Don't tell too many people H, we are over-crowded as it is.

That is a sweet pic H, very nice.

I'd rather be anywhere other than work, preferably at a clear and dark sight imaging and viewing the hours away

Clear, dark skies...starting to think they are a myth

Is it just me or do the rocks behind H and the waterfall look a bit like Darth vader? Have a look in the full size pic

Mel,

If you think that's nice, wait until you see the images from my trip (particularly from around that location).
