adding focuser and diagonal to 60mm terrestrial scope

Hi all, I picked up a Bushmaster ZT3090 zoom terristrial scope for my son ($5!!!). It's a nifty little number and even useable .
Anyway, as you can see on the photo, it has a straight through zoom lens at the rear (correct image). But I would really want to add a focuser and diagonal to it to save my neck and back.
The tube rear opening is 60mm.
So has anyone "upgraded" one of those before? I am not familiar with refractors, so would appreciate any feedback re how to add a focuser and a 11/4 diagonal to it.
Thanks!
Bo
