Hunter Valley concert...

Went to the hunter valley..but not for the IIS get together.

Steve Windwood and Steely Dan were playing at Bimbagen. To be thruthful they were better when they (SD) first toured Oz a few years back... but with perfect weather in a sublime location it was still a great night.

I also need to mention there apparently was a "no professional photography equipment" clause by the promoters.

I found myself being surrounded by no less than five security gorillas as my camera had a white L series lens on it with the head goon asking for my press pass (WTF ?!)

It took a while to diffuse the situation. Fortunately their supervisor had some brains and quickly realised I was not working for the media.

I took my kids to a Wiggles Concert. The Wiggles "allow" photography, but the venue gestapo refused to let me use a "camera with a detachable lens".

It wasn't worth the fight in the end - I was only shooting to see how my new lens performed.

I emailed the Wiggles Management about it. They did apologise, but didn't give an assurance the venue would be told the same.

It was clearly signed at the U2 concert that detachable lens camera were banned.
