Hello Oreste and welcome to IIS, I hope you have a great time here with us.

As a child I lived in Crema for a few years which is not too far from Treviso.

Cheers

Hello friends,
thanks for your welcome, I see that someone writes Italian! Congratulations to our language is little studied in the world.
I live in a small town near Treviso (his name is Paese).
Our land is beautiful, full of history and great characters of the astronomical world (here, near Padua Galileo taught, then there is the painting of Giotto with Comet Halley, and many other things).
Australia is one of my dreams, I wonder if one day be able to visit this beautiful continent.

I watch from my garden with a 300 mm Newtonian telescope dobson f 5, and a C8, but I'm already my new OTA for photography. I will send pictures as they arrive.

In November there Astrofest in Como near here in 2011 with the Italian manufacturer of telescopes.

Unfortunately in Italy we have wonderful heaven that you have.

A hug from Italian amateur astronomers.

I hope you understand my English, sorry for the mistakes.

Bye
Oreste

Welcome to IIS mate. Don't apologise for English mistakes mate. I'm sure most of us couldn't speak or spell a word of Italian. Don't worry, we will have you talking like a true-blue Aussie before you know it!

Sorry Oreste, I haven't been back to Italy for nearly 40 years and unfortunately I can hardly speak a word of Italian now.

Hello guys,
thanks for your welcome, I hope to learn much from you, because unfortunately in Italy amateurs have a very low training and are very quarrelsome, never talk about serious issues and if you do not agree with them treat you bad (some) because they are believed to be the best.

Bye
Oreste
