Hi all, A few days ago I captured an image of the trifid nebula after receiving my gear last week. I then decided that I would try my hand at something deeper. I posted an image of the mentioned galaxy however I decided after reading into sky polution and sky fog limits that I would be better increasing the exposure time and decreasing the iso.

I am very excited about the potential my setup can have. I have an uncle who lives at a darksite who offered his place to photograph from ( he is a fellow astronomer ). I also have decided on a Baader MPCC that I will order soon.

Here is the image with the added exposure time. Shot 5 more 4 minute frames at iso 200.

I wish PeterM and Peter.M could come to an arrangement where PeterM stays PeterM and Peter.M doesn't.
Is that possible?
PeterM I know and lives near me.
Peter.M lives in Adelaide and I keep getting confused....

That's an awfully tough target for a beginner, well done for having a go, the arms are starting to resolve themselves. With enthusiasm like that anythings possible.
