Jupiter, Moon through Brisbane Smoke

Smoky Brisbane under an inversion layer gave a golden hue to images of the Moon and Jupiter this morning. The auto white balance on the EOS 550D does an excellent job of rendering neutral colours, but for these I chose the Daylight white balance.

Nice work Tom – what a graphical illustration of the state of the local skies due to the burn offs!

Cheers

They look great Tom especially the Moon.
I was at a mate's place Saturday night trying to test a recent buy.
When the Moon came up I thought it was a street light because of the orange glow.
You've captured it beautifully.

Ken.
