1 Minute eagle

I thought I would try my hand at the eagle nebula, I only got a very short time to take my exposures due too clouds but I thought I would share what will be a work in progress.

This is 9 1 minute frames at 400 iso

Nice work Peter Keep building up the subs and perhaps try ISO 800 or 1600 if the conditions are suitable.

What scope, camera etc? Looks fairly similar to what I get with my 8" Newt + unmodded canon 400D + unguided.

Thanks, It is from my GSO 8 inch newt and an unmodded nikon d3100. Having a background in science I have been reading alot into the best iso/exposure combinations. I have read that for a given nights sky limiting factor a longer exposure at a lower iso will give you higher signal to noise ratio images. It is hard to find information on the topic without re-learning calculus.
