Ok, literally 45 secs ago, approx 22:02 AEST, I just observed a large bright orange ball moving slowly low on the eastern horizon. I quickly grabbed my binoculars, but by the time I foucsed on it, it faded. The whole event lasted approx 20 secs.
The rough trajectory of the object is from about 20 degrees above horizon, it appeared as if it was falling from east to south east.
Anyone know what it might be?
Too late for the UARS surely

cheers, Bo
