Eagle

The Eagle Claw Nebula. My first image after fixing some damage to my gear.

RCX400 14" @F8
QHY11 @ -25c.
LRGB:200 each , 10 min subs, Ha:180min, 15 min subs. All bin 2x2

Not bad Enrique although I tried to soften a bit and bring out the fainter detail, quick touch up in Picassa

Lots of looks not many comments, data looks solid, it's got good potential, colors are just a bit strong, you could have used some form of a stretch earlier in the process to lessen the contrast overall, then to get the strength of detail apply a masked form of sharpening to the detailed bits. Plus just reduce the stars a teeny bit
I'm sure there's a cracker of an image in there, it just needs some more tinkering, to get that right balance.

I want to have the edges dark without darkening the stars. I want the center of the image to pop up. I darken the other details on purpose. I fact, I am attaching a new version with the edges darker than the first one.

That is a great image with plenty of detail, maybe the colour is a bit strong for myself but still is a great image. Glad to see your gear is working again.
