M20 from BSG Forgotten subs.

An image of M20 from BSG this year. I had forgotten to process this one and just found it again today.
This image was a test image after the failure of my USB lead, guiding problems and the blown uo Robofocus controller.

Image Details:
Camera: QHY9 Mono with Baader LRGB filters
Scope: Takahashi TSA 120 APO Refractor at f 7.5
Mount: Losmandy G11 with Gemini
Guiding: QHY5, WO 70mm Refractor and PHD at 2 second frames.
Image: LRGB - 60,20,20,20
Combined with CCDStack and tweaked in Photoshop.

Hi Res Image

The Hi res image is much better than this compressed image. The JPG compression at 42% doesn't do much for the image.

Hi res one looks good..... Very good, might just desaturate the green around the brighter stars, thats all.

See you are using the baader filters, less reflections than the standard issue?

Hi Doug,

A very nice photo.

I really love the colours.

Your balance of tones and colours gives the photo a natural look.

Thanks.

Ross.

Thanks Clive, I have just fixed the stars on the Hi Res version.

Thanks JJJ. Maybe a bit blue but it does seem to set it off a bit I think.

Thanks Mario, I was happy considering the little exposure time I managed on this target.

Great colour, really jumps out at you and that makes it a great image. I find the contrast a bit too strong, pushed slightly too far, personal taste perhaps.

Thanks Roger. Contrast and colour are always a hard balancing act with every image a little different from the last. The best I can do is please myself with the image but believe me I often look back at an image and think why the hell did I do that. Even our own taste seems to change.

Thanks Greg, I was pretty happy with this considering the trials and tribulations I had on the camp.
