It breaks my heart but I don't really use it. Less than one year old, with metal case and diagonal etc. Hardly used.
I don't use it as I also have a Meade 80mm APO.
Cost today $1,299 at Bintel.
Specs here...
Skywatcher Black Diamond ED100 OTA

* Sky-Watcher ED-APO refractors provide the finest images obtainable in their design class
* The ED-APO design assures virtual elimination of secondary, residual "false colour".
What is the most faithful imaging known to amateur astronomy worth? At some point, if you stay serious about this hobby, you too will come to the same realization as thousands of others before you that the APO experience, if not priceless, is indeed at least worth the cost of admission.

Sky-Watcher is a leader in the design and manufacturer of ED-APO systems. Sky-Watcher offers one of the most extensive lines of ED-APOCHROMATIC REFRACTORS in the world. Using only the finest fabrication materials available, Sky-Watcher APO refractors are manufactured to painstakingly rigorous, exacting standards of optical and mechanical quality to insure the amateur astronomer peak performace and a great experience each and every time a Sky-Watcher ED-APO is taken into the field.

We know the amateur astronomer has very high expectations regarding astronomical equipment purchases. Sky-Watcher has been delivering consistent satisfaction for decades.

Specifications:

Aperture: 100mm
Focal Length: 900mm
F#: 9
Focuser: Smooth 2" Crayford with 10:1 Fine adjustment
Supplied Accessories: 2" Dielectric Diagonal, 28mm (2") Wide Eyepiece, 9x50 Finderscope, Tube rings and short Dovetail plate, Aluminium carry case

Would sell for offers around $850 + transport. This a long scope and a big metal box so would require courier.
Looking for enough dosh to buy an 8" Newt and upgrade the focuser plus cover enough for various tube rings, mount plates etc.
Bintel has an 8" newt (bd), $529, + the cost of a moonlite focuser & motorised control- works out for me about $950 so keen to get as much as can.
OR!!!!
If you have a fabbo Newt 8" that you would swap, with good focuser and tube rings etc I am all ears.
I am looking for something I can sling on a CGEM with some weight to spare for cameras/finderscope etc.
Have a 10" newt already but it's a tad too heavy for the CGEM, looking about 8-10kg OTA all up.
I know what you are saying behind your hands-" Tell 'im he's dreaming!"
A man can have dreams can't he?
