I have used it on the few rare nights we have had clear skies and it is impressive indeed. I think the FOV and sharpness right to the edges are the most noticeable difference. I am sure there are a dozen other things that my untrained eyes don't register at the moment as well.
I will have to admit to buying a 24mm Panoptic as well (just to break the bank

) and am finding that it gets the most use. I have meant to ask the question on this forum (and will) about the difference of say a 24mm EP 2 x barlowed as opposed to just a 12mm EP. If not much maybe a 24mm plus the barlow (or Powermate) will get you what you need for the moment but I do know the normal barlows are supposed to take some brightness off the image. Well I think I have read that hence the Powermate suggestion.
I can tell you using the Powermate with the 13mm only ends up with a mushy view I guess because of seeing conditions rather than any fault of the EPs.
