Jerry Leiber, one half of the Leiber and Stoller songwriting partnership has passed away, aged 78. If you think you haven't heard of him think Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Kansas City, Love Potion Number 9, Yakety Yak, On Broadway, Spanish Harlem and Stand By Me.
