ic4628 Narrowband

I don't do narrowband that often but the CDK17 with the reducer is really a hot little narrowband machine. The reducer really transforms it in that way.

So here is IC4628 commonly referred to as the Prawn.
HaS11O111 all 15 minute subs at -35C 60 60 105 and LRGB 105 25 25 25
for the stars. Proline 16803, Astrodon 5nm Ha S11 and O111 filters.

Its the tricky bit in NB. I aim for a general spread of the spectrum.

I like the subtle colours Ken Crawford gets though. He gets some light mustardy colours that look good with the soft blues.

Thanks Louie. I was surprised at how detailed the Ha was. That was when I decided to do a NB version of it.

Cheers Mike. That is usually the hard part with these types of images.

I like its performance with the reducer. I think it makes the camera and scope match the local seeing better.

Thanks Lucas. I don't do narrowband often but the Ha was so detailed and interesting I thought it was worth doing.

Bold colours Greg, teetering on the side of electrifying. Quite like them. Excellent details as one would expect. Thanks for sharing. Well done.

Cheers Jase. Yes the colours are pretty bold and I thought about that for a while at the time. But I felt the image could handle it seeing as the detail was there and it is narrowband.

Greg.

Thanks Ross. I was surprised at how well the Ha turned out. That led me to do the whole 7 filters.
