Meade OAG weird thread size

I'm fooling around with a Meade OAG and as usual need spacers etc to get everything right. I wondered if the guide cam tube could be shortened instead.
It's got a weird thread that is just larger than 1.25" stuff, about 34-35mm. does anyone know what thread is and if it's possible to get shorter adapters for it??
Cheers
Stephen

The Meade OAG from memory requires a Meade SC Adapter to screw into it. The adapter is threaded one end and smooth the other to slip into the 2" focuser tube.

You can see the sc adapter in the image on the first page

Sorry Paul. I should have been more specific. It's the guide cam tube I'm talking about. It accepts 1.25 inch guide cams and has a male thread on the other end that screws on just above the pick off prism. Not sure what the thread is but I am thinking about hack sawing of about one inch and hot gluing the lot back together as a quick fix instead of using a bunch of spacers for the camera.
Cheers

That's just a Meade assembly thread.
The basic design of the OAG is for the ol' SLR cameras - 55mm back focus hence the positioning and length of the "guide eyepiece" 1.25" tube.
If you're using it with a CCD ideally the camera should be spaced to give 55mm backfocus...

I thought it might be. I'm still thinking of slicing of 20-30mm and using an old 1" extender to go back out if I have to. That way I can fine adjust the guide cam focus with out having to worry about getting the camera spacing dead perfect. Thanks for the 55mm info.

Just watch for the small grub screw which holds the prism plate in position!
