No longer FOR SALE: 19mm Panoptic

19mm Panoptic, purchased 3 weeks ago, used a few times in binoviewer. It is effectively a brand new eyepiece.

$350 including postage in Australia.

Steve

Why the sale so soon after purchase?

Is it an eye relief issue?

Thanks Phil.

The Panoptics are an overkill for my Burgess binoviewer. The BV is very good for the price, but not in the same league as the Panoptics optically. As they say, an optical system is only as good as its weakest link. The binoviewer is the weak link in my current setup, and it will work just as well with a decent pair of budget plossls.

To answer some queries I received in PMs:...

I realise that the asking price represents only a modest, though significant, saving that may not be enough to sway some people from paying full price at Bintel.

But since the eyepiece is virtually new, and local dealer support is not much of an issue given Televue's reputation for excellent quality control and customer support, I will leave the price firm at $350 with postage. Or I can make it $340 + $10 postage if you prefer.

The eyepiece has been put back in its case with the original packaging, and that is where it will stay until sold or withdrawn from sale.

PS. Televue prices are on the rise.

I could not help myself. I'm still waiting for the pair of Ultima plossls. I got the Panoptics out and had loads of fun with the binoviewer tonight.

So this item is withdrawn from sale. I will reconsider when I get to try and compare with the Ultimas.
