Spring has brought some of our local birds close to our house for the nesting boxes and for nesting sites in the shrubs. A pair of White-eared Honeyeaters are claiming the front yard and the one here was have a go at one of our dogs, who didn't seem to notice. Two pairs of Striated Pardalotes are using nesting boxes (one bird on a perch at the entrance)and a pair of White-throated Treecreepers are checking out another. Oh, and a Kookaburra down the road just for good measure.
All taken with Canon 500D and Canon EF 100-400mm lens
Nice shots Patrick, I particularly like the Striated Pardalote photo. These guys just don’t seem to sit still for long enough on the rare occasions when I get to see them, so thanks for the views.
Thanks chaps. I will be bringing the lens to BSG, Malcolm. If skies are clear the days will be a challenge between catching up on lost sleep, viewing the sun, going to talks and taking photos.
