Mars is still alive & kicking! 21st feb 06'

No jetstream here!

But a stiff breeze when I was shooting mars

200 frames stacked. 6" refractor & toUcam.

I'm going to have to reprocess this...I made a blunder in registax by giving it more saturation.

Think I might have to concede the challenge Asi... by the time I got setup last night before 8 Mars was in the embrace of the IronBark... so unless I manage to get home and get motivated for some twlight imaging............

it's Asi John KING OF MARS 2006


an a nice shot too with some albedo surface detail still (at 7.2arc sec!!!)

is it true that mars will get as faint as uranus???

i was looking thru astronomy 2006 and there is a graph there and it looked like it did!!

Hey thanks guys. T'was nothin'.

I'll keep at mars until it's totally un-shootable probably, it's a personal challenge thing. If I can't compete with anyone, I'll compete with myself.

A pity about the tree getting in the way Robert.

I'm running that AVI again thru registax at the moment, & if I come up with something better than the original I guess I'll post it.
