Celestron neximage camera FREE

I started planetary imaging last year with a celestron neximage camera. I got hooked pretty quickly and have since upgraded my camera.
My Neximage camera works fine, but it is wasted just sitting in its box
I would therefore like to offer it to anyone interested in trying planetary astrophotgraphy.I dont want any money for it, but there are 3 rules that I would like anyone interested in the camera to follow.

1. You should be a beginner in planetary astrophotography.
2. You should post some images taken with the camera
3. Once you decide to upgrade or decide that planetary imaging is not for you you must put the camera back on iceinspace for the next person to try.

Lets do this until the camera dies.I will pay for it to be shipped to the first person that is interested, but they must pay for it to be shipped to the second person and so on.......

The camera comes with the capture software, but if you running Windows7 you will have to visit Celestrons website for info about how to get it to work with Windows7.

This is not a gimmick.I have no ties to Celestron. This forum is such a great place to meet and learn about astrophotography and hopefully this will attract some others to experience the thrill of astrophotography for themselves without having to pay for the camera.

Any questions just post.

An excellent sentiment Carl, and a great initiative to help people get into planetary astrophotography (my first love!)

Hi Carl

Im new, this is my first post. Id love use your camera.

I bought a PST a few months ago and loved it. I now have an 8SE a synguider, illuminated 12.5mm eye piece etc.

First post for Pete, but he's been lingering around for a while ;-)

Pete's place is my dark sky site!

Carl, Pete is very keen on trying to do lunar and planetary imaging.

Well, beaten to the punch!

I will be honest and say that I am not sure I would put it to enough use to justify raising my hand for it anyway.

OK.I put the responders from this and beginning equipment posts into a hat and pulled them out in the following order;

1.Erg
2.GEM
3.A23649

So ERG gets it first and then should consider passing it on to GEm and GEm can pass it on to A23649 etc...

I will contact ERG for the address and look forward to seeing some pics soon-I would suggest starting with some lunar images first.

It may take a little while to get to you -It is coming from USA.

To save confusion and doubling up on threads I'm locking this one and
directing everyone to the identical thread in Beginners Astrophotography.
