Hi all, I am a complete begginner with absolutely no experience.

I recently bought myself a Celestron Astromaster 130. I have taken it out a handful of times but with poor results so far as I live in the middle of Sydney. I'm hoping to take it out again this weekend and try to find Saturn which has so far eluded me...

If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, download star walk, you can hold your device up to the sky and see Saturn etc labelled for you in real time. Makes it easier to find. Otherwise download stellarium for the pc and it can help you find your way around the night sky before Saturn disappears below the horizon each night, I think tonight it sets at about 10pm, and right at this moment is just to the right of the crescent moon in the western sky.
