Tasco distributing Meade?

Hi,
have heard on the grapevine that Tasco is now sole distributor of Meade in Australia. If true, this would explain the small number of Meade products on Bintel's website and perhaps the closure of the Melbourne store? Apparently Tasco have 3 techs who have been trained to repair Meade scopes...

Not sayin' it's true, but from industry sources who should know....Can anyone verify?

With an extra layer of profit margin, hope we don't go back to the bad old days where it was cheaper to fly to the US, buy a scope and brig it back home on the plane......
