Broken Hill: Easter Time?

Hello to all those IIS folks in Broken Hill!

SWMBO advises me that it is highly likely we will be holidaying in Broken Hill for one week around Easter time. I would love to have the chance to observe under those dark skies.....anyone game to let me loose on their scope in Broken Hill? There could be a nice bottle of wine in it, if you need some incentive.......

Cheers!

I dont want to put a dampener on your holiday but Easter is close to Full Moon on the 14th april so there wont be any dark skies around that time.
I thought something simular about the Nullabar Plain when coming across from Perth but forgot about the Full Moon.

Yeah, I looked at my astronomy diary after I posted that, and realised that issue. Fortunately, given Anzac Day is only 5 working days after Easter, we will probably still be in Broken Hill for 3rd Quarter. Should be Ok by then.

If I get no replies, I will pack my ED80 and do some of my own observing. We will be staying with the head Quack of the Area Health Service out that way, and he is very interested to learn about astronomy, so we should have some fun observing together.

Clear skies.
