My latest Milkyway Core

Taken last night with the near full moon

Nikon D200
F-stop f/2.8
Exposure 10 sec x 37 = 6 minutes
ISO 1600
Focal Length 28mm

I was going to take more but the cloud rolled in

Hi Warren,

That moon seems to have gotten into the way of what should really be a very nice image! That blue gradient is quite bad. Maybe you could try removing it?

What settings in Startools to get this result I still have the 9meg Tiff file I would like to run it through because if you can do that to the small JPG I should be able to make a big improvement with the larger file

Launch Wipe and try the default settings. If your image is a bit noisy, you may want to set the 'Noise Filter' parameter. If it's 'a lot' noisy, try a bigger value for noise Filter.

If you find the blacks are getting clipped because of aggressive noise filtering, set 'Bottom End Treatment' to 'Add Headroom' instead of 'Clip <0'.

Season to taste with the 'Optimize' and 'Tame' presets in the Optimize module

Original attachement for comparison with repo using Startools and I cropped out some stretched stars on the right anyone know what caused them I would appreciate the knowledge
