Cat's Paw Ha blended with colour

Hi,

I have had a go at reprocessing 3 hours of Ha with 1 hour of each channel RGB. I am learning this technique so comments welcome. I processed Ha and Red individually and then lay the Ha on top of red and set opacity to 50%.I flattened this image and then used as Red in RGB and balanced GB channels. Flattened and then layered Ha on top of the colour. I know the stars look terrible but just after suggestions. Scope W/O Flt 110 and Qhy9 mono no darks or flats.

Thanks.

Mark

Very nice Mark. Some nice detail in the honey combed pad at the top right. You have handled the usual pukey Ha stars very well also.

Well done.

That's a great shot Mark. Just being picky - tiny bit of dark ringing around the stars which can very easily be taken care of. Select Color Range->Highlights then Expand 3px/feather 2px selection and a bit of shadow/highlights on the stars only. You'll have one for the cool wall then. Top shelf.

I like it - not too pink for me.

Thank you all for the comments and thanks Marc for the suggestion on the stars. I have done it and increased the star colours. Your suggestion gets rid of the black ring around the stars nicely. This is with my adjustments.
