Well, all my other colleagues from Wiruna were posting their nights efforts, I thought I should start posting mine.

I was a good night under the stars with Multiweb, CoolhandJo, and Ross G.

First night in anger with my QHY10

12x10mins, 8" F4 Newt on "our" G11.

Nasty reflection in the corner, but it hey it was a great night, cant get everything you want.

Well done Trevor plenty of colour and tiny stars, the 10 looks like a winner in the osc cameras. I was interested in what coma corrector you are using?.

I have the MPCC. My spacing is not yet correct, that is a work in progress.

I was actually suprised, it is the first time I have have an issue with them, and I believe the offender is not that bright either.

Amazing photo!

I love the blue and those wispy blacks provide such a great contrast.

The spikes really add to the picture.

You've got your F4 working well. If the shot is a full frame, then I think your coma is well under control.

My QHY8L also shows similar reflections in some shots.

Thanks Ross, yes it is the full frame. I still isnt quite right, there arent enough stars in the corners to show it. I will post some others from the night but the 200Mb limit means a fair amount jpeg compression.

That's a real cool shot coz the stars and details in the dust are outstanding. Forget about the reflection. That's minor and you'll sort it out in time. The important thing is that everything else is spot on. Nice work.

That's a very beautiful image. I like the reflection it looks cool. I probably wouldn't want it in every image but it looks fine in this one.

You probably need to flock the inside of your secondary mirror shroud and perhap other areas that look like they may be shiny but the shroud would be my first guess.
