Thanks JJJ that's just FAB!

Back in 1995 when Greg Bock and I used to Astro busk in the Surfers Paradise Mall we came across a guy like this and to this day I still have one of his paintings.

If you ever watch the original War of The Worlds from 1958 (or several other SciFi movies from that era) at the beginning is the pioneering Astro/Space art work of Chesney Bonestel. Sure its dated, fanciful by what we know today but it was pioneering and had a lasting effect in popularising space travel/exploration. Thats what I think Astro/Space artists do, even today with all the great astro images we are bombarded with, they still stir the imagination.
Actually no matter how different their paintings maybe the Voyager spacecraft have shown us that many Moons in are solar system were even more bizarre than any artist could have painted.

Fantastic works of art!!!

If you goto his site, spacepaintings.com, he shows you how to do paintings like that. He has books and instructional DVD's of how to go about creating paintings like he does

Just had a look at the price of his instructional vids...all 4 for $139.99...pretty good price if you ask me, considering what he's showing you to do.

My brother just knocked up one of these type of paintings. Don't have the instructional videos, but did one after watching the shorts on YouTUBE. When it's dry, I'll take a piccie and post it here

When we were in Honolulu about 8 years ago, we were wandering the streets and came upon a guy doing the same sort of thing. At the end, we bought the painting he was doing at the time and it is hanging on the wall behind me. He then showed us his gallery. He called it "Art in Motion". If you are in Honolulu some time, it is worth a look.
