Thumbs up The high bar

Hi H,

Stunning opening shot to start this month's theme!

Could you please tell us all a little more about it?

Best regards

What would you like to know, other than that it will rate poorly?

Thanks H,

I see you have annotated it above the enlarged version.

I wouldn't be so sure that it would rate poorly.
Except for the fact that you hung it upside down, it looks perfect.

With that gorgeous reflection in it H, one of my first thoughts was what an awesome 50,000 piece jigsaw puzzle it would make! Just imagine it!

Not that I'm suggesting its only worthy of a lowly puzzle, H! Its a lovely piece of work.

Totally intimidating. Superb! H. Jigsaw is a great idea. There's lots of winter down here at the moment, but where to start.

A couple of John wests from mine, these were taken near Deloraine Tassie in June 2009 after a cold day, the fog was just coming down and the sun setting.

My John Wests are here:

for this month. Thought I'd post a separate thread since we had a good snowfall.

There are some gorgeous photos in comp already. Mine aren't that flash, but I'm trying to do my best to get some current ones this month since I think I've already posted most of my archive shots that fit the topic.

Geoff beat me to a shot I took in 2008 that I considered to enter, but it was a copy of one that Anne-Louise did the year before. this other one was taken on the same morning as the first at the Queensland Astrofest. Only 23 days, 22 hours, 36 minutes, 24 seconds to go... but who's counting?

Shane your photo of the grass is a little soft, but otherwise lovely. The thumb alone is enough to make me pick it over all the others.

Geoff, the Ice in Space in the frost of the windscreen is clever too....

H, no fair mate!! We don't get that sort of thing in Australia!! Can't possibly compete for subject matter!!
