Is it possible to have a night mode on the forums ?

If I'm out and need a quick reminder for what's in the observing challenge for the month or how to set my webcam up. I'll jump on iis. The issue is that it is overwhelmingly white. Is it possible to add a button for night mode ?

Night mode through software doesn't really make much difference. You need a red filter on the screen to properly preserve your night vision.

For that reason, and of course aesthetics and keeping the site how it was intended to be seen, we likely won't implement a night vision.

I have heard of other windows themes or 3rd party programs which try to give a 'night vision', but it's still emitting the same light from the screen.

Like I said, a red perspex or ND filter is the best thing.

If you want night friendly display on your machine there are a number of utilities that will modify your windows display colors and interface that you can download online as well.
