Thumbs up Observatory Hopping in Chile

Most people have maybe heard of Stefan Seip? Arguably one of the finest astrophotographers in the world.

He's been observatory hopping in Chile, and has a new page on his website showing some amazing pictures and images, both astronomical and non-astronomical.

Check them out here:

Incredible stuff.

ahh it always makes me feel like a millionaire when I see the lengths N.Hemispherians have to go to see the night skies we get just walking out in our backyards and see for free.
And I have seen the northern night skies (lived in rural scotland for a year once) and I know which view I prefer - big difference in naked eye view
he's a great photographer that guy - what an allrounder! thanks!

Amazing photos.
Check out The Southern Cross under the constellations section.
Wish I could see that many stars!

I remember this guy from the Machholz/Pleiades pic. Yes he has great skill but he's also sunk a lot of money into equipment.
