Question A question for G11 owners

In my ongoing travels of upgrading my G11 to gemini, I have bought some regular Losmandy gearboxes so I don't have to get new Ruland couplers to suit the (metric) Mclennan ones I bought.

Anyway - the Mclennan gearboxes had threaded holes in the top plate of the gearbox where (I assumed) the motor screwed into, however, the standard gearboxes have holes, bu they don't appear to be threaded...

How do the motors attach to these gearboxes?

Ta

hmm

seems I may have answered my own question. I checked out the other standard gearbox I have, and its holes are threaded!

The unthreaded one is also quite stiff to turn, whereas the other is nice and smooth/free. I think one of them may have skipped QC. Well - Back to Bintel it goes....
