Full Moon 17 May, 2011

Took this image of tonight's full moon through the telescope.
It's actually 13 images stitched together in Autostitch.
Used Canon 550D through 2.5x Powermate with 1/160 exposures, at ISO 100.

Hope you like it

Nice work Evan, well done.

I'm out here trying to capture it now too, but there's a nasty cloud bank hovering right over the moon and I need to capture the bottom half!

Thanks for the idea

Evan, after seeing your post you inspired me to give this a go last night. I hadn't thought of trying it before.

I don't have any special adapters so I just used my 550d without any lens. I made a dodgy rig with an old tripod to keep it in place, and had to use a 2x barlow to get it in focus.

I think it was iso 100 or 200 with 1/60 exposures, with 10 or 11 photos.

Anyway, here goes
