I've just returned this afternoon from a few days harvesting sugarcane trials up in the Burdekin (north Qld), but I took my camera and did a quick scout around for possible conjunction imaging locations. I settled on Lilliesmere Lagoon, next to the Kalamia sugar mill. Not a perfect venue, but close enough for me to still be able to start work at 6:30 am. I was clouded out on Tuesday morning, but had some nice reflections on Wednesday 11th (images #1 and #2). And this morning I had a bit of that nice cloud that Liz captured in her images from Townsville (image #3). Also tried a shot with the 70-200mm telephoto to capture the moons of Jupiter, along with Venus and Mercury (image #4).
