Wide field M104
M104 in LRGB. Sombrero Galaxy .
L 8.5 hrs 52 off 10min subs bin1. RGB 25min each 8 off 5min subs bin2
Taken on a 10"RCOS RC at f9 (2275mm FL), PME mount and ST10XME in urban skies . Off axis guided.
New processing proceedure.
After the usual gear.
1/ Check its better than one of Mike Sidonios vain zoom ins (not hard really)
2/ Add noise to an other wise perfect image to fake detail.
3/ Ignore the stupid random white dots.. leave them fat and distorted, who cares. And suck the colour out of them, they deserve it, punks.
4/ Colour adjust to a vauge organic-film-nostalgic effect.

Damn - how did Fred figure out what the rest of us have been doing for so long
Wonderful detail coming out in that. Loved having a swim around. May I humbly suggest there's still a bit of a murky brown/green tinge lurking in the halo rather than pristine galaxy white? (or are you really serious about no. 4?)

One stoops on occassion to please the unaware, the bissfully ignorant, to fit the mould, to humble onesself to the Sids of the world. Its a perversly gratifing experience I suppose.... Selfish, but hey, thats human nature .

I dont like it Dave, that hurts. Thats not fair. Accusing someone of a wide feild image is akin to swearing on these hallowed pages. Please withdraw your allegation or I will have to report you to god.
