Why the hell didn't the "Expert" Just say it was Venus and be done with it and Koshi and Mel were acting like it was a fairdinkum UFO it just affirms to me why I stopped watching Sunrise in the morning

I'm finding myself less and less tolerant of peoples simple minded views. The conspiracy theorists, the ufologists, the astrologers, the moon hoaxers, the doomsday cultists and the holocaust deniers.
I don't know if I'm a magnet for such people, but I'm at the stage where I'm scared to strike up a conversation with people in case they start pushing their whacko points of view onto me.

Why didn't the expert ask which direction they were looking at and what time?
That would eliminate or confirm Venus.....

Even if the Expert  would have asked the obvious question those clowns probably wouldn't know the East from the West 
The camera was being put in and out of focus and waving it about like a flag in the wind

Interesting that Venus is supposedly intelligently controlled, yet it's pretty obvious that the video camera was not.....

I find myself asking them if they're into astronomy pretty early & if they say no, well I'm outa there "Sorry, but I can only converse with intelligent folk, bye!"

And don't you just cringe when after telling them you're into astronomy, they come back with their star sign.
Or they ask if you've seen any UFO's.
Or they tell you that the moon landing was a hoax.
Or they ask if you use your telescope to look into peoples windows.

I have friends who are seriously into astrology and they keep telling me how it's all very scientific. They have to use computer programs to write up their charts.

I hear you JJJ. If we are at a party or something and my wife tells people that I'm into astronomy most of the time they come out with all their nutjob views and then I have to try and escape from them and they're not interested in hearing the logical side of it.
