Message notification issues

In the last few days, I have noticed I am not getting emails to advise of new messages for me even though it is enabled in my user CP. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. When I log on to the site, I get the notification that I have unread private messages, but no emails to advise that they are there

Happening to me too.

Didn't think too much of it, but since the subject has been brought up, yes, you are not the only one. I guess this is something that could be passed on to Mike and the mods.

I've tested this with a couple of people and they (and me) are receiving PM notifications fine.

I can only suggest that they're probably being marked as spam and sent to your spam box. Especially if you use gmail or other mail programs that 'learn' what you like, if you are constantly deleting PM notifications (for example), then it thinks they're spam/not interesting to you, and it will mark them as spam.

Check your spam folder, and set up a rule that mail from *.iceinspace.com.au is not spam.

Nothing in Spam box, I have not had any issues like this previously. Am using Outlook 2010. It only started a week or so ago.

I have just double checked my User CP and I am definitely set to receive email notification about PM's. I sent myself a test message and I did NOT receive any notification. I have IIS as a safe site on my internet security settings as well. Something is definitely amiss...

Can you test if you receive other notifications, for example if you subscribe to a thread or a forum?

They're definitely being sent and received (by the majority) - so I expect it's something at your ISP end.

I have just checked with my ISP, no issues there, absolutely nothing in my ISP account spam folder. I have now activated notification regarding threads I am involved in. Will see if I get any emails about replies etc.

No one has responded to this, so I will see if my response triggers an email!

Thanks Scott, got your response, pity I don't get PM notifications anymore, but I check in most days.

My PM notifications are still a hit and miss affair. Done the necessary checks. Operating system doesn't seem to be the problem as I use two different servers to access my emails.

I've had emails from IIS blocked, apparently because the web farm where it is hosted got blacklisted. It hasn't happened to me for a while, but then I haven't expected any PMs lately.

Yep something is surely amiss. I have checked all settings and they are as they should be. I am getting notifications from other forums when someone PM's me. Not had any issues until the last couple of weeks, all settings have not changed, ISP is ok, so it is just a glitch here but I can live with it.
