Saturn May 4 -Registax 5 vs 6

Here are two processings of the same Red image under better than average seeing conditions. The 1200 frame red filter avi movies were taken with a C14 with a Flea3 camera at f/22. 300 best frames were used for processing using Registax 5 and Registax 6. The image on the left used Registax 5. Can you tell the difference? I'd like to know.

I also want to add that unlike all previous versions of Registax, version 6 will not start up under Parallels Desktop in Mac OS 10.5.8, forcing me to do the processing at my PC at work. I am clueless as to why this is the case.

The finished RGB images using Registax 5 can be seen at ALPO at

Better than average seeing conditions indeed, Dave. That's a great shot! Reg 6 does it for me, there is an obvious difference.

There's an obvious difference between the two here, with Reggie 6 coming out on top. Nice work Dave!

BTW the best person to ask would be Cor, the creator of Registax about your Mac OS non startup problem.

Certainly a difference in sharpness. I do wish some of the manual functions had been retained though.
