I liked Caprica - starts off a little lacking but quickly improves to be almost as good as Battlestar.

Two other series we greatly enjoyed are Firefly and Deadwood. Both of these rely more on character development and dialogue than action, though there is plenty of that too. Deadwood is set in the US wild west and has a darker, shakespearean feel to it. Firefly is a mix of sci-fi and western and tense moments are mixed with comedy. Unfortunately both of these series were cut short - not enough mass market appeal perhaps.

yes, didn't mind them either....

since we are broadening the horizon i think my all time favourite series was lost.

but the trick was (for me) that you had to get the series and sit down and watch them in sequence. the plot was that convoluted and involved, if you missed an episode and combined with having to wait a week between shows. i could never follow it when it was on television.

but the other way, it was an absolute bobby dazzler..

I enjoyed Caprica. I agree with casstony, it starts off a little slow but picks up quite a bit towards the end. Unfortunately it's yet another show that got canned just as it was getting good.

Yeah big fan of Caprica. I think the remake of BSG was awesome too. Getting cheesed off with the networks canning series half way too. They did the same for SGU. I don't bother anymore and go buy the BD sets from Amazon in the US. Got my player modded.

Colin, love it.......
They could have kept it going for a few more seasons!!!!!!
Apparently 'Blood and Chrome' is the next installment....I believe it is a prequel to Capricas' demise....
