Mars.

Finally! A night with no stinking clouds!! woo-hoo!

Gee, mars is getting smaller but still detail present. Had to be quick & get it just after sunset before it sunk down into the murk. This image is a bit of a shocker & probably shouldn't have posted it but what the heck!

Seeing was average: perhaps 7/10.

530 frames stacked.

Well done Asi! I admire your persistence! I haven't even bothered to try to look at Mars for the past month or so. Your pic has inspired me to try at the next opportunity.

well done Asi mate... did you stack the barlows or resample up to get the image scale here? Of course, you've thrown down the gauntlet now... I had just about decided to close my Mars season with the last shot, but now I'll have to go one more - probably through trees, cloud, spider webs, sunset glare etc, but it must be done

Hi guys, thanks for the comments.

No Rob, I only have one barlow...& the 12" long extension tube...nah! it ain't that long lol.

I resampled at 1.3X..I'm going to hand stack that AVI to try to get a better final image.

By all means mate! take another stab at mars & post it!.... But you know what will happen don't you??
