Using Ebay/pay-pal part 2

Hello.

A few months ago,I asked for a few pointers on using ebay, pay pal etc.I am thankful to those that gave advice etc.I have done quite a few transactions and I'm rather impressed with all.

I have recently had a small issue-I bought a 3 fishing reels all at different time from the same ebay seller, all the exactly the same model. But I needed a forth,so ordered it,when it arrived-it was not the same as the others,it was the next size smaller, but the reel had same name and number as the previous three, but the details of line capacity on the box and reel show its the smaller one.It physically look much smaller.

I sent the ebay seller a polite note, and offered to send a photo of this weeks purchase along side the previous others. But no reply.

This is not a huge amount of money we are talking here, and over all its not a huge problem. But I wonder what do next,as one day I might hit a similar problem on a larger amount of money. It is annoying as I re-sell some of these reels in the shop. And this particular model and size has great use.

Not sure what to do about this,Thought others here may have some helpful hints-Not sure if pay-pal has a set time before you mention an issue to them,or if one contacts ebay. But I'll give this seller more time to respond first-I spent a fair bit with them over the few months.

Thanks for any advice-Chris

I usually send 2 replies, if nothing I escalate to pay pal claim-dispute centre I think it's called, this usually gets action fairly quick - as pay pal will get your money back if seller doesn't resolve issue for you..usually thus is enough & when you have got a good outcome you close the claim..

re pay pal

Ok,Daniel.

Is there a time limit have to do that?

I'll give the seller till Wed,next week,as these are short weeks,It does appear the manufacturer is at fault, and the seller has simply read the box details which is incorrect for the item in side.I'm sure they would be pleased some pointed out this disparity.

Cheers C
