Spent hours processing......still not a professional .......but one day!!!!

Anyway, couldn't leave these ones out.....

Lobby at work from different angles and also used Polar Co-ordinate distortion in PS in three of them.

Here's my John Wests for this month. All newbies... taken yesterday and the day before while on the Central Coast.

1. Fraser Park, assembled from 3 shots.
2. Fraser Park, assembled from 4 shots.
3. Fraser Park, assembled from 6 shots.
4. Looking north from Norah Head, assembled from 3 shots.
5. The Entrance, assembled from 4 shots.
6. Looking southish from Wybung head car park, assembled from 4 shots.
7. Snapper Point Beach (Initial entry to this month's comp).

No one said a pano had to be horizontal, Bart! I have heaps of vertical panos of waterfalls and abseils.

Its not that long ago, that panos of water scenes were very difficult to do. The current Photoshop stitcher does a great job!

A previous entry from Nov 2010 but worth showing (I think) as a John West.
I'll keep to the spirit of the challenge and try to submit something else,
recent past or present.

This is Moralana, Flinders Ranges , Oct 2010. made from 5 panels I think.
Stitched in Autostitch.

I made heaps of panos up there last year and have only put a few together
so far
Love panos, great topic but I think the viewing on everyone's LCDs at home
won't do them all justice. Great images so far incl JWs.

Glad you like it. Technically, it probably has fewer faults (no lens flare, etc), but it doesn't do a hell of a lot for me. I like the "feel" of the one I posted... that might be entirely the wrong thing to do for a competition if its only me that gets that "feel"... as I said Frazer Park and Snapper Point are a pretty special place for me from my youth so my "feel" could be entirely misguided.

Here is my reject from Cradle Mountain. The light was not conducive - hence the shadows on the left, but the reflections were nice!

OMG!! There are some stunning images in this months challenge.

The very first one was amazing with the observatories and stars, and the rest kept me in glued to the screen.

Then into here with many other great images, and with that magnificent image from Steve, and your Cradle Mountain image here is gorg David!!

Will have to come up with something special to be even in consideration.

Ric I love your place it really reminds me of the place we had in Eungella we had 18 acres in the rainforest with 5 acres cleared in the middle. AHHHH Memories. Nice first attempt too mine is about my third attempt.

Ric! That's what I was hoping for... people to try it for the first time if they haven't done it before. Sometimes all you need is an excuse... this is the excuse to have a go. I hope you enjoyed learning/doing something new. I apologise in advance if it becomes an obsession.

OK Bart, here's a few from fairly early on when I was just getting the hang of digital photography. Looking at them now, I can see many of them could do with a touch up. I don't think I'd discovered how to use the clone tool when some of these were done. BTW I used to do panoramas on film with a standard camera...... much fiddling about overlapping and trimming photos to assemble the panorama. It's much easier now!

1. The first pitch of Kalang Falls Canyon. 2 images.
2. I think this one as about the 4th pitch in Kalang ( memory is starting to fade!). 2 images.
3. My partner Lyn abseiling the second pitch of Arabanoo Canyon. I have a better version of this one somwhere - no date stamps up the side. My brother Col makes his living restoring and selling old photos these days, so he very adeptly rejoined the ropes between the frames and I now have this shot printed (600mm tall plus frame) and hanging in the lounge room. 2 images.
4. 3rd or 4th pitch from Arabanoo Canyon. 2 images.

Not realy a reject but just one of the ones that drew the short straw. I think this about 4 or 5 frames stitched.
