RIP Elizabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith)

Elizabeth Sladen passed away yesterday. Fans of Doctor Who will remember her as Sarah Jane Smith who was the Doctors companion from 1973 to 1976 and had several reprise roles in more recent incarnations.
Personally I always thought she was the best of the companions and the fact I was aged around 13 at the time had nothing to do with it!

Yep, one of my favourites as well. So sad to hear of this. May she rest in peace.

Jeez Man - 63 years old, cancer related death, so sad - a beautiful lady.
Quintessential english rose Dr Who companion.
Her sidekicks to Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker came at a point when Dr Who dominated my schoolboy life - it was great to see her becoming part of my kids life in a Dr Who offshoot,The Sara Jane Adventures, and in David Tennant episodes. Touching that generations could relate to her passing.

It was very sad to hear of her passing.

One of the great companions of Dr Who and what schoolboy of that era didn't have a crush on her.

RIP Elizabeth

Very sad loss. I remember watching her as a kid, and also love her newest series "The Sarah jane Adventures"
