Hi! I'm Batman!

A day trip to Tumut introduced me to some local fruit bats and I was hooked instantly! Being that Tumut is 122 kilometers from Canberra, half of that on dirt that my poor rattly ute has to endure, bat visits will be few and far between. That is - until a friend told me of Canberra's own population of bats!

I hope you like them!

Baz.

No Robins?

There is a bat population near-by - they are very active at night. Not seen any during the day.

Great photo Baz

What a cheeky face.

We get a very small bat out our way, they can fit into the palm of your hand. I'm not sure what type they are though.

Probably the bent wing bat mate. A cave/hollow dweller rather than a tree dweller.

Hi Baz,

Some really nice shots of these fascinating and often misunderstood Australian native
animals.
