NGC5128 very good seeing

here is another 5128 from last night.
The run of good seeing continues as this stable high hangs around.
Jetstream looked good all night.
This set cooled to 10C...ambient was 15C at midnight

Steve, I think the time has come...the mantle must be passed on to you as the most prolific producer of images of Centaurus A

The same Jaycar kit we have discussed previously Peter.
The hysteresis in the temp/feedback/brute strength peltier makes it
variable by at least 2 degrees but it seems to look ok and not leave
any noticeable artifacts in the calibration.
Having a bit of thermal mass in the cold finger minimised a lot of the
temp range. Finer control of the fan speed might make it better.
More experimenting is needed. There is a cooling thread here
about it.

Ok here is a quick, very rough LRGB with data from the 07 Apr
added to the 04 apr Lum. Full of RGB artifacts!
Please forgive me...LRGB or even RGB is not my forte

Looks pretty good Steve. Heaps of detail and even the LRGB is pretty good. Some colour noise present but nothing to bad.

The good seeing did not last very long but even still I would say we had several nights of above average seeing and one night of superb seeing. The average nights I just viewed Saturn and wondered when I would get another night of superb seeing.
